Jodie Marsh Fat and Out of Shape, Controversial glamour girl Jodie Marsh has been hitting headlines for years over her body, more recently over her transformation from page saucy three girl to serious body builder.

However is seems her incredible physical renovation has had a serious psychological impact as the 34-year-old reveals that she now suffers from body dysmorphia, and sees herself as fat.

Despite being a tiny size 6-8 and weighing just 8st 8lb the 5ft 2 celebrity says that since she started her bodybuilding, she now views anything above her ‘competition best’ as fat.

Speaking to Fabulous magazine Jodie says: ‘It sounds crazy, but when I look in the mirror, I see someone who is fat and out of shape.

‘Bodybuilding has given me body dysmorphia – I’ve seen myself at my physical best and this is not it.’

The petite glamour girl says that she is not looking her best at the moment as she has been unable to hit the gym while filming her new series ‘Can we beat the bullies’ for channel 5.

Jodie’s ‘physical best’ however might be deemed by some to be too extreme.

‘At my peak, my body fat falls to five per cent, and I drop to 7st 8lb and a size zero’ Jodie says.

The healthy range of body fat for a woman is about 21-24 per cent, with any percentage below 13 per cent likely to cause detrimental effects to both physical and mental health.

Jodie confesses that maintaining such an extremely low weight and level of body fat involves a grueling regime

When training she exercises for over FOUR hours each day including three hours solidly on an exercise bike.

She eats a sparse diet based mainly round vegetarian protein like egg whites and lots of vegetables

Body Dysmorphic disorder is an anxiety disorder that effects about 1 per cent of the population.

It causes sufferers to spend a lot of time worrying about their appearance and to have a distorted view of how they look.

Jodie’s dissatisfaction with her body goes back to her teenage years, and has even led her to undergo surgery in an attempt to become happier with her own reflection

She had surgery on her nose at age 15 after years of being bullied about it.

She also had a boob job in her late 20s just before she started body building, increasing her cup size from 32DD to 32F.

Made in Chelsea star Binky, 22, also opened up to Fabulous magazine about her younger self's dissatisfaction with her figure, but say she has now made peace with her body.

The brunette beauty says that her ‘large’ hips used to upset her:

‘As a teenager, I hated them. If I could have chopped them off with a knife, I’d have been delighted.’

She admits that gaining the Christmas pounds left her feeling low and unconfident and she underwent a intensive week-long boot camp to try and shift them.

Combined with Lipoglaze, a liposuction alternative that avoids going under the knife, the reality star dropped 7 pounds, but says she has gained a new, and kinder, attitude to her body.

‘It’s only in the last year that I’ve finally accepted my body. Now, while my hips still bother me, I tend to accentuate my legs with a pair of shorts and a pair of wedges.’
